Wow! Talk about a judgmental Christian! Talk about grandstanding! Classic!

It’s great that the Muslims are giving to Haiti! What good person would not want that?
The assumptions here made by the commenters is amazing. Jamie (nor myself) EVER said that he “hated Muslims” Where did that assumption come from? I think it’s great the Muslims are helping Haiti! I would be willing to bet Jamie does too.

Too assume that someone is behaving unchristian-like or racist by the article above is ridiculous and well……unchristian-like. Lighten up guys.

Not only is the Islamic world donating to the Haitian disaster, they outgave the US in response to the tsunami as well. Actually, most countries consistently outgive the US, because the US is one of the cheapest nations on the planet:

OH Dang, I guess I was wrong! Even Muslims in Gaza, who are starving, cut off from the world around them, and living in an area that looks like 500 earthquakes went through it, are donating whatever they have to the people of Haiti.

There were other countries from the middle east – of course to you its not about saving Haitians – its about grandstanding on whose doing what!

Hate to point out to you that the Turkish rescue team from TURKEY an Islamic country got to Haiti before the American rescue teams. That’s a head scratcher – their reason was the recent experience with the Indian tragedy. It will be fun hanging out here responding to ignorant statements.

Funny that you would make such outlandish accusations, since I watched a Turkish rescue team pull a survivor from the rubble in Haiti.

Jamie, try doing a bit of research next time before you go blundering across the blog pages with such idiocy.

BTW…This may come as a shock to you, but America is NOT a Christian nation. I myself proudly worship Paganism: the religion of my Native American ancestors. I therefore find it to be insulting that you or anyone would be so arrogant to claim this land as being under your god. The last time that I checked, the Constitution still proclaimed a separation between church and state. Who knew?

Kuwait Red Crescent Society donated $1 million.

Morroco pledges $1 million in aid.

Indonesia pledges $2.1 million.

UAE Red Crescent $1.25 million in supplies.

Qatar sends 50 tons and 100,000 in aid.

So you’re singling out a number of countries based on the faith of their inhabitants? How utterly racist. And ignorant, too. See the following (source)

Bahrain: The government has donated $1 million to relief efforts.

Jordan: A Jordanian air force plane carrying a military field hospital and 6 tons of food and supplies left Amman on January 14. A second plane carrying Jordanian medics left the following day.

Iran: Iran’s Red Crescent society sent 30 tons of humanitarian aid, including food, tents and medicine, on January 16.

Kuwait: Kuwait donated $1 million to relief efforts; the Red Crescent is preparing 100 tons of food, medical supplies, tents and blankets to fly to Haiti.

Lebanon: Lebanon is loading a plane with 25 tons of tents and 3 tons of medical supplies; it leaves tomorrow.

Morocco: Two planes carrying 24 tons of aid left the city of Kenitra on January 16. The Moroccan government has pledged $1 million in aid to Haiti.

Qatar: A Qatari C-17 aircraft loaded with 50 tons of aid left for Port-au-Prince on January 14. The Qatari government also sent a rescue team to set up a field hospital; the Red Crescent will sent another $100,000.

Turkey: Three cargo planes — carrying search-and-rescue teams, a mobile hospital and aid materials — left for Haiti on January 16. Another two planes left yesterday. Turkey has also donated $1 million in cash.

United Arab Emirates: The UAE sent two planes loaded with tents, and a team from the UAE’s Red Crescent will arrive in the Dominican Republic tomorrow to buy $500,000 worth of supplies and truck them to Haiti. Another 50 tons of emergency supplies will be air-lifted from Abu Dhabi tomorrow.

And these are just the countries in our area of interest — I didn’t include majority-Muslim countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, which have also made contributions. Oh, and the Islamic Society of North America set up a fund for Haiti, too.

Great write Jamie.

Not to mention that (go figure) The Red Cross (the origin of The Red Crescent and The Red Crystal etc) is of Christian origin. The Muslim world as it goes for their governments anyway, do not care what the world thinks of them. Help from them in Haiti shouldn’t be expected given that Haiti is Christian and mostly Catholic.

Yet, you can bet that if a major disaster occurs in ANY Muslim country? We WILL be there. That’s what we are, what we do, and how we roll. Proud of that.
