I think the administration's impulse is to double-down on stupid. But it may be that more moderate Dems will sensibly stop them from doing that. Right away Dems like Jim Webb and a few others hosed Obama, Rahm Emanuel, Reid, Pelosi and the rest with cold water, saying don't even think about cramming something down the people's throats before Scott Brown gets to Washington.

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution......
Take a bow for the new revolution............
Smile and grin at the change all around me...
Pick up my guitar and play...................
Just like yesterday..........................
Then I'll get on my knees and pray...........
We don't get fooled again....................
Don't get fooled again.......................
No, no!

Democrats knew this health care bill would not be passed a second go around. This is a perfect situation for them now. They fumble around desperately trying to save America with this outrages health care bill only to be foiled by the evil republicans. They will block any other health care ideas from being used so they can continue on until after the Nov. elections on how horrible the right is for depriving America health care. The left is getting easier to understand and anticipate as they are very simple minded and child like.

<b><i>"“We ought to stop and start over and go step-by-step to concentrate on fixing the problem, which is the rising costs,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell..."</i></b>

McConnell is correct here. Lowering costs starts with competition....it always does.

The Democrats must like the mini-monopolies the companies now enjoy that allow them to operate with no incentive to provide custom plans and go to a cafeteria style operation where people can choose what they want from whom they want based not on who is the "allowed" insurer in their State but based on their individual or family needs, health history etc.

People might find that the best general primary care was from a company in their home state while the most effective, for them, for catastrophic or long term was from Colorado and the best dental, for them, was from a company in Florida.

But nooooo. We're not allowed to do that, and guess what. The companies are just fine with that.

The more the opening up of the markets is resisted by the Dems, the more I wonder just who is buying them off. Somehow the transparency and change we were supposed to get sounds like "meet the new boss....same as the old boss".

It's true, they seem befuddled as an ape. In the last 24 hours we have heard the entire spectrum from cramdown to standdown from all D parties.

It is telling (and amazing) that they can't read the clear message.
I'd summarize it this way, "jobs not knobs".

P.S. DC pols are the knobs.
