Claiming that “investigative journalists have been doing this for years,” filmmaker James O’Keefe yesterday defended dressing as a telephone repair man to investigate Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office and took more than a few shots at news outlets that accused him of “wiretapping phones,” a claim that federal law enforcement says is inaccurate. O’Keefe appeared without his lawyer in the interview with Fox News and claimed he’s been cooperating with authorities.

The whole incident has surprisingly made quite a few people happy, including Andrew Breitbart, whose Web site initially posted O’Keefe’s videos exposing what appeared to be criminal behavior by several officials at the community group ACORN:
