Obama’s shameless job agenda. January 13, 2009, President Obama signed the $30 Billion Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009. And what about the $787 billion stimulus bill (now updated to $852 Billion) that passed in February 17, 2009 with just three Republican votes? Wouldn’t Obama only be blameless if he vetoed it and was later overridden? Nor did he veto the $410 Billion Omnibus with over 9,000 earmarks worth $7.7 Billion that was signed March 11, 2009. November, 5, 2009, Obama new package of extended unemployment benefits and fresh tax breaks pumped another $46 billion in government stimulus. December 17, 2009 he could have put his pen where his mouth is but he signed the $447 Omnibus Bill with 4,072 earmarks totaling $3.7 Billion. On top of adding $3.3 Trillion to the deficit in 20 months, the $1.4 Trillion tax increases (http://www.heritage.org/Research/budget/bg2249.cfm ), he recklessly perused Obamacare, Cap and Trade, Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Financial Services Sector Reform), and major federalization of education.

On Jan 2, 2010 “Safety” was his highest priority.

7 days later Obama announced in a speech that children’s health care should be the nation’s highest priority.

the next day (Jan 10, 2010) “Regaining confidence” was his highest priority.

4 days later (Jan 14, 2010) “Pakistan and Afghanistan” were his highest priority.

8 days after that (Jan 22, 2010) “The economy and jobs” were his highest priority.

But that is just this year -

Last year health care reform was his highest priority on July 10, 2009. Later (October 31, 2009) saving jobs in education was his highest priority.

One of the key indicators of Obama’s intentions is the continuing aid and assistance (and growth) of government workers. I repeatedly ask my Lib friends how this helps the economy; please connect the dots for me. Well, they get apopletic and can’t respond.

I’m not to sure people with jobs, especially good paying jobs, give a crap about anyone else being out of work. How about we withhold all pay for our elected officials until the unemployment rate is REALLY down to, oh lets say 5%. How hard do you think they would work at creating jobs then.

To me the best line in this article was the one about the “American people can make a judgment about whether this Congress done the right thing for them or not”. Duh…the American people have been telling the Congress for months that they don’t want this health care bill, Congressional approval ratings are in the toilet, and the President thinks he just has to “walk us through in a methodical way” as though we were incapable of understanding anything on our own. These so-called leaders are deaf, blind and condescending toward an electorate that cannot wait to pass our judgment on them come election day. Sadly, I don’t think they’ll get the message even then.
