Rachel Maddow compares tea party attendees to KKK

Bookmark and Share

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow blasted former Rep. Tom Tancredo’s opening speech at the National Tea Party Convention last night, then directed her own brand of off-color criticism right at the event’s attendees.

“People who could not even spell the word vote, or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House. His name is Barack Hussein Obama,” Tancredo said, to some applause.

The remarks left Maddow fuming for what she perceived as their apparent xenophobic racism. She went on to explain that the crowd’s reaction was barely audible not because some attendees didn’t laugh, but because their amusement was “sort of a little bit muffled by the white hoods.”

Speaking of unfair speculation, Maddow may be stepping up her rhetoric in a bid for attention after January’s television ratings came in recently. Maddow, who drew just 876,000 viewers, was soundly bested in the 9 p.m. slot by Hannity (2.88 million viewers) and CNN’s Larry King Live (930,000 viewers). And rumors abound that fellow far-left  MSNBC host Keith Olbermann will soon be out of work.

Really I didn’t know Maddow’s stupid looking haircut is an open statement to the world that she is a lesbian. I guess it does go with that hairy upper lip she sports.

Hypomaniac, your last post summed up your argument the best. I absolutely agree that Tancredo should have chosen his words better. However, in my opinion, some truly ignorant people voted for Obama. They voted for him because they believed all of his lies during the campaign. They believed he was going to change Washington for the better. All he did was make it worse. And yes, I will say it…they voted for him because he was black. So maybe the racism is on them?

Rachel Maddow may be an idiot and a little butchy. You make the call.

Someone should edit together a youtube video compilation of all the MSNBC hosts accusations of racism. I think youtube has a 10 minute time limit, so it may have to be done in installments.

I can’t stand when people (especially those in the media) get lazy and throw around the racist label. Maddow, Olbermann, Beck etc…

HOWEVER, what in God’s name was Tancredo blabbering about? Both him and Maddow look like fools in that video

Dear Daily Caller / Mr. Carlson:

Though you corrected the error in your reporting on this story that I pointed out yesterday, you apparently decided that you would use your moderated board to screen out criticism of the quality of your reporting. So much for “adding facts to the conversation.” Too bad, I actually thought the idea of the site was a good one.
