Obama’s health care summit: Just for show?
WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican legislative leaders are raising fresh doubts about any bipartisan agreement with President Barack Obama on health care unless he agrees to shelve bills already passed by Democrats in the House and Senate — a move the White House has rejected.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio repeated their concerns to reporters after joining Democratic leaders in meeting with Obama at the White House. Obama has invited Republican leaders to a health care summit on Feb. 25.
Boehner said he was still trying to figure out what the point was if Obama insists on using Democratic legislation as the basis for discussion.
He said any conversation ought to be “bipartisan from the beginning.”

Ya can’t get a good Bill when it’s bought & paid for by the insurance companies, as well as our representatives.
Obama’s view of “bipartisan” is to have it his way. The republicans think that Obama’s health care bill is bad policy and an overreach into the private medical business of patients and doctors. Obama knows that the republicans have the majority of the American public on their side. What to do? Tell the American that you don’t understand this bill. Let me explain it again. But the Americans do understgand it and don’t want any part of it. It can’t be explained as a good thing when we all know it is a bad thing. Even the so called “blue dog democrats” know it is a bad thing. Only the leftists such as the abominal Senator reid and Speaker Pelosi want this bill. Other Democrats that want this bill either havn’t read it or can’t read it like John Conyers. It is a bad bill in all respects. Now you know.
