The Daily Caller Cigar Review: Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto

Davidoff is best known for its elegant, mild smokes. That makes the Davidoff Millennium blend a bit of a change of pace for the famed line. Billed as Davidoff’s most full-flavored blend, it features a seamless chocolate brown wrapper and pre-light notes of rich earth and deep mocha.

Once lit, while the Robusto (5.25 x 50) reveals rich mocha flavors similar to its aroma, the profile is hardly one-dimensional. Along with the primary chocolate and coffee notes are a complex bouquet of floral flavors and a sweet almond element. Fortunately, no matter how full-bodied the smoke gets, it never turns harsh, and the flavors stay elegantly balanced on the palate. Construction is superb with a solid ash, even burn, and a noticeably firm draw.

Ultimately, the Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto is a complex, rich powerhouse that lives up to the prestigious Davidoff name. Its rich yet balanced flavors would go equally well with a strong espresso or a well-aged vintage port.
