what real issues? they have no issues other than abortion.they should have serious issues when it comes to womens rights regardless of any political affiliation. do you think NOW would step up to protect sarah palin or michell bachman? did they jump to miss prejeans defense? they have become an instrument of the far left,and that agenda supercedes all others

bb we as parents know no greater pain than watching our children go through some of lifes awful blows.the scenerio you offer would be very painful to me,the abortion i mean,but i love my childeren dearly i would offer council if wanted but would support any decision my daughter made with all the love i’ve always given.my son and his wife and my daughter and her husband both suffered miscarriages on their first pregnancies.so i do know the pain.i too despise the rhetoric of extremist on either side,very few issues are as black and white as they seem when they are politicized.hypotheticals like yours shows this point well if you think about them honestly.my post was not so much a rant against abortion but against a pro-choice organization promoting only their choice.

A question for you spr8er, but before my question let me preface. I liken N.O.W. to the Westboro Baptist Church people. In other words, each is a textbook example of the extreme in either direction.

To further preface, your daughter may be 20 or 30 or 50 and she may be happily married with kids. I have no way of knowing but for the purpose of my question let’s assume she’s seventeenish, which she either will be or has been at some point.

Let’s say your daughter is impregnated by a boyfriend and decides she doesn’t want to be a mother and as a result she has an abortion. Then, after going through that obviously difficult scenario she finds that she really can’t stand men at all and chooses to take up with another female.

How do you think you would respond to those issues both upon learning of them and months/years afterwords?

For the record, I have one kid. A son, aged 23 who is heterosexual and who has not impregnated anyone (to my knowledge). I’m only offering that so you understand I’m not attempting to compare scenarios or set you up for an attack on your feeling or opinions. I’m simply curious.

Not only that, the thing that’s really p**sing NOW off, is that both Tebow’s have expressed a preference for ‘Somewhat-svelte, attractive, personable, intelligent women’, which the NOW leaders have interpreted as a ‘Direct, personal, slap-in-the-face to NOW leadership’.

Go Focus on the Family and Tebow and his Mom! What a great job! Tricked the other side to false start. Whoever was the decision maker behind this ad is a genius. It was an amazing way to get both sides talking about the abortion issue and to expose NOW, Planned Parenthood, and others like them for who they really are-certainly not advocates of free speech, and certainly not advocates for “choice”. Boy, did they jump scared when they even thought the ad was going to advocate that Tebow’s mother actually exercized her right to choose-”not” to have an abortion. Evidently thier definition of choice was really exposed here. Maybe a little further education in the English language would help.

it is a pity that the real issues that the NOW represents become trivialized because of the careless political maneuvers of a few. Any credibility the leadership of this organization leveraged in protesting this ad is now gone. People stop listening to the boy once the wolf doesn’t show up, and its a shame too, because the public needs to know that these issues are important. My advice to the flock of the NWO: Get a new shepherd.

“Wow, look at that violence against women. . . I sure hope NOW steps up and condemns that ad just like they did the parody of the football player clobbering Palin in the Couric interview during the campaign.”

excellent commercial/ad..typical liberal bottom feeder response to message that promotes good ethical life style and choices..They would have been fine with the “abortion kill the baby” message. Why do the left always oppose good ethical choices and messages? I guess if they don’t oppose them it would be like admitting they are sum so they try to justify evil unethical behavior.
