The political bombshell of the year could turn out to be Supreme Court Justice Hillary Clinton.

Don’t laugh. It’s politics.  Stuff happens. And a lot stranger stuff has happened in recent years.  Two words.  Sarah Palin.

Last week, ABC News reported: “Lawyers for President Obama have been working behind the scenes to prepare for the possibility of one, and maybe two Supreme Court vacancies this spring.

People dump on the Clintons but they always seem to rise above it all and prove their critics wrong. Eat crow loosers!

  3. Two more words and a number: Landslide Fall 2010. If Obama gets TWO Supreme Court picks, that is it, every conservative and their dog needs to show up to the pollls and vote. All efforts will have to be put on the Senate to try and pull off what seemed impossible only several months ago, the retaking of the Senate.

Hillary would make sense as a pick for Obama, she’s well known, popular in the polls these days and some of the more weak willed Republican Senators (Graham, Collins, Snowe) will vote for her. Putting her on the bench also ensures that she will not get any idead of running against Obama in a primary if his poll numbers really drop. Don’t think for a second she wouldn’t primary him if given the chance.

On the other hand, if justice is blind, David Paterson has the inside track as the next Supreme.

Two vacancies? Let’s have another historical first like electing the race transcending Barry: A Husband and Wife team of Supremes. Introducing Bill and Hill, ran up a Jill. (not to mention a convenient way to rid Barry a pesky primary challenge from Hillabroom.)

Justice Clinton is one of the more humorous oxymorons I have contemplated.
