What I am citing is a report by the Union of Concerned Scientists that exposes Exxon’s strategy for a disinformation campaign intended to shift the publics understanding of the science behind GW to that of skepticism. It is fully backed up with documented evidence at the end of the report however it is not the best quality as legibility goes.

The second link, the one you are referring to, is demonstrating that this type of campaign continues today although manifest in a different way. I did not feel that this example needed the actual memo posted here as proof. The memo was accessible by following the links in the article itself. Your observation that GE publicly supports climate action is also noted in an article linked in the second post. However no conclusion is drawn. Here is the pertinent part regarding that.

“Greenpeace sent a letter to Gerard yesterday asking him to verify the authenticity of the email, and pointing out that the plan “runs contrary to several prominent API members’ public support for climate action, namely Shell, BP America, ConocoPhillips, General Electric and Siemens.””

The argument that I am making is that todays skeptics are a product of disinformation campaigns rather than the release of the IPCC report as the Daily Caller headline implies. Since no one seems capable of disputing this I will assume it to be correct until something invalidates it.

What a moron. The article you cited (with no facts to back up it’s allegations) lists GE as one of the companies that is trying to protect it’s “dirty energy” by paying to discredit global warming. This is the single stupidest claim I’ve seen since the 9/11 Truthers. GE stands to make billions off of cap & trade legislation, and are one of the biggest corporate backers of Obama’s policies. Their network (NBC) is nothing but a paid 24 x 7 advertisement for Liberal causes.

Trying to act like they are the enemy of environmentalism is just stupid squared.

No the Daily Caller article that we are all posting in response to. Up there at the top of your screen. That article is about why the number of skeptics has increased. Thats the topic, not whether GW is real or a hoax.
My position is that skeptics have increased as a result of Exxon’s PR campaign. Not because of the release of the 2800 page IPCC report (that nobody read) as the article states. Your job is to disprove what I have said. Optionally you may also prove that I am a brain dead zombie suckling on Al Whore’s scrotum.

I too would like to see the “science” about the alleged “global warming”. The recent revelations clearly show that not much of anything was “science”. I don’t see any of the vaunted “peer reviewed” science that supports the alarmists claims. The relied upon measuring devices are being shown to be faulty and misplaced. Records that were supposedly relied upon have gone missing. Sloppy “scientific method” was the order of the day at the IPCC and CRU. Skeptics were systematically excluded from the “scientific debate”. No wonder then that the bottom has fallen out of their claims. Such gross over statements and conclusions based on the flawed research makes any real research doubtful at best and for all practical purposes a vacuous endeavor. Now you know!

You guys are off track. This article is about why there are so many skeptics. Frankly it comes off as a hit piece to further encouraging denial, none the less it puts forth an important issue to consider. The only response to my post that addresses it comes off as saying I know you are but what am I. Go ahead blow me out of the water. Discredit the linked material as bogus. Lay out the evidence why you know I have been hoodwinked and not you. I think you are the product of a sophisticated PR campaign and I have given an example. Here’s another one.

Gotta remember there’s mucho dinero involved in this global warming fiasco. Look at al gore*; he’s made millions by spoofing the public. Love and kisses chicken little gore and his cronies – the useless nations, ipcc, obama, and the wind and solar industry. Without subsidy these so called “green” industries can not survive.

We do need CO2 otherwise what would plants use to regenerate O2.
