In a surprise speech at CPAC earlier today, newly elected Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown — who drove in his now-famous truck to the conservative conference — made repeated references to his surprising ‘grassroots’ win as an unlikely Republican candidate and drew boisterous applause prior to introducing former Gov. Mitt Romney.
Brown was whisked away quickly after the event.
“President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their team have failed the American people, and that is why their majority will soon be out the door,” Romney said in his speech immediately following Brown’s remarks.
