We must reintroduce the idea of keeping and using your own money how YOU see fit, instead of allowing the gov't to steal it from you and then dole it back out to you as IT sees fit. The great libertarian, Harry Browne repeatedly asked "would you give up your favorite gov't programs if you never had to pay income tax again"? Imagine (I know I'm dreaming here, bear with me) having all of that money that you surrender to the income tax to use for your own health care, child care, vacations, your home, starting your own business....whatever. It's yours. It means taking care of yourself and having total control and responsibility for your own well-being. It is a foreign concept in this country today but is one of the ideals that made this country great. If this crazy idea gets out in the MSM, even the most gov't dependent Americans might catch on! It's refreashing to here someone speaking the truth that we can't hope for recovery without also scaling back our plethora of wasteful military ventures overseas. Simply cutting taxes and stopping the Obama administration isn't going to cut it. I know this fact makes the heads of liberals and neocons explode, but we can either do it voluntarily with grace and control, or be forced to do it shamefully and chaotically. Great article.
