And, if true, why isn’t the Obama administration prosecuting Bush, Cheney, and everybody else? If you’re right, doesn’t that make them complicit in these crimes, and thus war criminals, too? One thing that may help you is to actually look up the definition of torture in a dictionary, and then ask yourself if waterboarding rises to that level. Lots of other people, including those in the current administration, have agreed, grudgingly, that it does not. Maybe you should point out the Japanese and Vietnam things to them, genius.

Medicare part D is a 7 trillion dollar unfunded program. It takes a real “fiscally conservative” Republican to justify that as not wanting to encourage drug use. Again, assumes funding it is the proper thing to do, ignores potential detrimental effect not only on behavior but on the public fisc. Failure to fund it does not equal lack of accountability. I think I’ve been fairly clear on that point.

That FNMA excuse is a tired one, but is, sadly for you, true. Noting bush’s changes from his campaign is also an old dodge, and ignores one significant event that occurred after his election. Which was on the front page of pretty much every newspaper in the world on September 12, 2001.
