Glenn Beck urges listeners to leave churches that preach social justice

On his daily radio and television shows last week, Fox News personality Glenn Beck set out to convince his audience that “social justice,” the term many Christian churches use to describe their efforts to address poverty and human rights, is a “code word” for communism and Nazism. Beck urged Christians to discuss the term with their priests and to leave their churches if leaders would not reconsider their emphasis on social justice.

Beck, if one listens closely to his rants, is a dimrat.

Let’s have a look at Glenn Beck’s record of getting things right:

Franklin Roosevelt never allocated more than 12 percent of GDP to federal spending, while the percentage for Barack Obama is not projected to drop below 22.8 percent.

So, they are true or false just because you can type? How about some supporting facts to prove your point?

      • scorpioman

        I can’t see you I can’t see you I can’t see you

    • anniebanannie

…and actually do your own homework, not some cut and paste from a left nutwing blog.

      • badash

There’s a good chance that right this very moment he’s rushing through internet pages trying to find evidence that every one of those statements are true. Nobody is right 100% of the time, i’ll give you that. But too often folks like you think that because you can say he’s wrong then that makes it so.

      • scorpioman

As if everything you’ve ever learned from the right isn’t nut based.

  • badash

The fact that the left hates him so much makes me like him. He must be doing something right for them to attack him with such veracity. Similar to Sarah Palin, if she was that insignificant they’d just ignore her.

    • badmotherfarker

It’s not the left that dislikes Beck – it’s anyone with a brain and half an ability to use fact check.

      • griff

        Indeed.

      • theneighborhoodguy

At what exact site are you getting your facts checked? I’d love to check your list…Thanks.

    • secularzone

The fact that the paranoid, radical right so supports Beck is proof enough that he is a loon. The sane center needs to take back our country from the loony right and left.

  • griff

Glenn Beck is nothing more than an entertainer, and not a very good one at that – a judas goat for the Republican Establishment, he’s about as libertarian as Mao Tse Tung.

    • droman

You are right on the money Griff in regards of Beck being as libertarian as Mao Tse-Tung. One of the things that irks me about Beck is this claim that he’s a libertarian or has libertarian tendencies. Both are false!

  • spr8er

Attacks on beck are almost always personal, rarely do his facts get disputed. It was said that he launched personal attacks on jones and dunn, but most of his stories included video of them saying exactly what he claimed. The left loves to point out that beck does not have a degree, but education-indoctrination does not trump honesty and integrity.Beck and his staff work very hard and do killer research obtaining facts that usually aren’t disputed, this mixed with a great sense of humor(the red phone is awesome)makes for an entertaining and enlightening hour.

    • qofdisks

His staff work hard to create propaganda with a thin patina of truth. His “facts” are called out all the time, you are just caught in an echo chamber reflecting and reinforcing your own corporate dictated beliefs.

      • theneighborhoodguy

Where are they called out all the time? Please offer me some sites I might visit. Thanks

    • badmotherfarker

See my above post. I dislike Beck exactly because he invents “facts”.

  • johnnyu

Glenn Beck is not a big, blowhard, bloviating, chowder-head, as some see him as. Mr. Beck, not only has documented and researched evidence of his findings but has the balls to call people out on them. Whatever the issue is. Most people with something to lose or hide are very afraid of Mr. Beck. He is a character but has enormous integrity. As a recovering alcoholic myself I trust Mr. Beck’s opinion and his forthright attitude. If your going to slam Mr. Beck, go ahead it’s your right, but have the intelligence to do some homework and not just spout off like “old faithful”. Facts are very hard to dispute. Go get ‘em Mr. Beck. There’s a lot of us , who haven’t been heard from in a while and we’re pissed off, also at the status quo.

  • scorpioman

Insightful news from Glennda the Good Witch of the South.

  • patrick

I can’t really comment on Beck. I can’t watch him for more then a minute or two. His style just grates on me. I’m sure we agree on a lot but I’d much rather watch Special Report.

    • theneighborhoodguy

Special Report with Bret B. is good…if you can’t watch Beck because of “style”…you can listen to his show on sat radio…hope this helps.

  • adamincalifornia

“Glenn Beck” – code words for “moron”

    • rosey

Brilliant! Any other words of wisdom??? No? Thought so…

    • brian61

I don’t watch Glenn; he is over the top. But he is clearly winning in the marketplace of ideas. His February 2010 numbers were 2.67 million viewers on average. That is more than 4.5 times higher than CNN’s Blitzer and more than 6.25 times higher than MSNBC’s Matthews.

So, Adam in the declining state of CA, keep on calling Beck names. This strategy of throwing mud at conservatives, rather than engaging in intelligent debate, is working so well for your side . . .
