From ace reporter Alex Pappas:

The National Republican Congressional Committee is robocalling residents in the district of Democrat Rep. Jason Altmire — whose position on the health-care bill is unknown — to alert them of a Friday night rally in Pittsburgh encouraging the Pennsylvania representative not to switch his vote on the bill.

Altmire voted no on the original bill.

UPDATE: Pittsburgh television station KDKA is reporting that Altmire is voting no.

Republican representatives Michele Bachmann, Todd Akin, Steve King and Louie Gohmert will join the rally by teleconference. Large numbers of members from the Pittsburgh Tea Party are expected to attend.

Here’s a copy of the phone script, obtained by The Daily Caller:

This weekend, our Congressman Jason Altmire could be voting on Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama’s $940 billion government takeover of healthcare. Jason Altmire has not yet committed to stand with us in opposition to this disastrous bill. We must do all we can to make sure Jason Altmire does not give in to liberal interest groups and side with Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.

Please join us TONIGHT, Friday evening, as we rally against the government takeover of healthcare. Come to The Sheraton Four Points in Mars, Pennsylvania: zip code 16046 TONIGHT at 7pm.

Members of Congress Michele Bachmann, Todd Akin, Steve King and Louie Gohmert will be joining the rally by teleconference from Washington DC where they are fighting against the bill.

Please join them TONIGHT to make it known to Jason Altmire that he must stand with us and vote against the Pelosi-Obama healthcare takeover.
