Seriously, could you put forth a dumber argument if you tried?

They also ignore the $500 billion that’s being counted twice, are giving credit for $500 billion being cut despite it not actually being cut yet (and I’d love to hear how many people really believe Congress will cut Medicare to that extent), and are giving credit for $500 billion of waste and fraud being cut that has not been touched since the Democrats took over in 2006 (so I’d love to hear your explanation of what they’re waiting for).

Then we’ll toss in the draconian tax increases middle class people will face (everyone who took a lower paying job because it had great health care benefits) that they don’t take into account, or the mass layoffs that will occur so businesses can address the new costs that will be enforced by the government (meaning more people will need assistance to get health insurance).

Other than that, I’m sure the CBO numbers are great. And for the record, I’m exactly as clever as I think I am.

It was my belief three years ago that Hastert was the worst speaker ever. He was/is a fat glad hander. I now think he is second worst.

This last year appears to be the catalyst for Republicans to really offer an alternative to democrats. The republican party has true statesmen like Paul Ryan and Jeb Hensarling. I think even Mitch McConnell has shed his RINO skin. Republicans need to post the legislation of Medicare part D on the wall of their chambers. Everytime they come in they should look at it and say “never again. We are not democrats. We are not s.ocial.ists. We are conservatives and we will strengthen not weaken this country.”

So why are they compromising and buying off votes if this reform is so wonderful? Maybe because you’re a disingenuous moron. Everyone knows this bill is a waste of time. 80% say it will raise health care costs and not accomplish what it’s supposed to. Everyone knows it’s a POS, but they’re voting for it because they’re afraid it will be even more politically damaging to let it go down to defeat.

If the bill said that it was setting aside $100 billion to be given to insurance company executives for bonuses to support the legislation these scumbags would still vote for it.
