A raid at the home of a man arrested for trying to bring knives into the Daley Center uncovered papers with the names of several Chicago police and sheriff’s deputies he may have been targeting, officials said.

Cook County sheriff’s officers, along with agents from the U.S. Marshal’s office, also seized 1,600 knives and five guns in the Chicago home of Kevin J. Long on Saturday, said Steve Patterson, a spokesman for Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.

The knives and the guns, four of which had been rendered in operable before the raid, are worth about $45,000 officials said.
