Tea party rally at the Washington Monument [SLIDESHOW]

Thousands of protesters gathered Thursday night to listen to speakers and live music, but it was the same tune for both: current fiscal policies are not working.

The tea party activists blasted Congress over cap and trade, taxes and health care. However, special attention was given to Representative Charlie Rangel, former House Ways and Means committee chairman, as the crowd chanted, “pay your taxes.”
