Congressman Denny Rehberg grilled Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius Wednesday on how, exactly, the government can pay for the health-care bill’s $5 billion appropriation for a temporary high-risk pool for those suffering from pre-existing conditions. Funding for that appropriation, according to Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will soon be exhausted, but Sebelius responded that “We don’t know what it’s going to cost, we don’t even know how many states are going to participate in the program at this point. We really don’t know at this point, sir.”
