‘Twilight’s’ Kristen Stewart compares fame to being ‘raped’: ‘A lot of the time I can’t handle it’

Kristen Stewart’s words carry a pretty strong bite to them.

The “Twilight” actress recently equated being a celebrity – specifically the part where she’s targeted by paparazzi – to being raped.

“The photos are so … I feel like I’m looking at someone being raped,” she tells Britian’s Elle magazine. “A lot of the time I can’t handle it.”

It’s a surprising outburst for the actress, who is known for being a relatively private person as far as celebrities go. In the same interview, she refused to address the rumors she and co-star Robert Pattinson were dating.
