Police say a 30-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault after he dragged his girlfriend by her hair while driving down a Memphis street.
Police said Julius T. Hayes was arguing with his girlfriend while sitting in his running car Wednesday afternoon.
An affidavit says Hayes grabbed her hair and rolled up his window, then backed out of the driveway and drove down the street as the woman fought to free herself. Police say she broke a window, causing the driver to release her.
The Commercial Appeal reported the woman suffered cuts, scrapes and bruises. She was able to go to a hospital by private transport.
