The wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round over Rahm’s frown

The Daily Telegraph reports:

Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff, is expected to leave his job later this year after growing tired of the “idealism” of Barack Obama’s inner circle.

Washington insiders say he will quit within six to eight months in frustration at their unwillingness to “bang heads together” to get policy pushed through.

I’m not sure what sort of “idealism” involves lying about everything and breaking all your promises, and according to the polls, neither is anyone else. Well, wherever he ends up working next, let’s hope it’s close to a fish market.

P.S. Why’s everybody always pickin’ on him?

P.P.S. Richard Fernandez cracks the code.

So, basically, Rahm’s upset that Obama isn’t *more* totalitarian and dictatorial in his approach? Isn’t that what “‘bang heads together’ to get policy pushed through” really means, after all?

Rahm’s a soldier. He knows strategy, but he lives tactics. As part of the Chicago gang, he will continue until he, for whatever reason, becomes politically inconvenient.

He wants to spend more time abusing his family.

Yeah, Rahm pops off about BP CEO’s recreational activities being a PR disaster and inappropriate… and once the news interrupts Obama’s tee time; Rahm decides he has issues with the blah blah blah.

Seriously, he opened Obama up for another month of golf/gulf mocking, hypocrisy claims, and that’ll cut into Obama’s golf/concert/date nights to get this under control. Did he think he’d stay employed after that?

Nah – he’s got some dumb idea he can knock Daley out of the top seat. He wants some REAL power…
