Via the Minnesota-based Power Line, here’s an interesting claim by a conservative watchdog group:

Today, Minnesota Majority released a report of its findings on ineligible felons voting in the 2008 Minnesota General Election…

Using data obtained from the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Minnesota Majority found evidence that hundreds of ineligible felons may have voted…

According to the full report (emphasis mine):

To date, Minnesota Majority has obtained 341 copies of Hennepin and Ramsey County court registers of actions that document felons’ ineligibility to vote on November 4th 2008, that are linked to electronic voter history records of people who SVRS indicates voted in 2008.

Al Franken won by 312 votes.

But hey, it was worth it. Right, Minnesota? Even if Al Franken had to cheat to get there, he’s represented you well. He’s really done you proud…

Law. Truth. Wisdom. Listening.
