Obama criticizes Republican opposition to campaign finance bill

Washington (CNN) — President Barack Obama on Monday criticized Republican opposition to a Senate campaign finance bill, calling it partisan gamesmanship that threatens to give special interests undue influence on U.S. elections.

“You’d think that reducing corporate and even foreign influence over our elections would not be a partisan issue,” Obama told reporters in a White House appearance that was scheduled earlier in the day.

The Senate is expected to hold a procedural vote Tuesday on whether to end debate on the bill, and Democrats fear a unified Republican filibuster will prevent the measure from moving to a final vote.

A key Republican, moderate Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, opposes the bill because it puts less restrictions on labor unions — a key Democratic constituency — than on corporations and other large donors, an aide to Collins said Monday.

Obama hates Americans and any conservative.

If he is for it – then it must be corrupt, partisan, and will hurt all Americans.

Don’t we wish we were illegal aliens…so he and corrupt politicians could fawn all over us…and give us everything, including FREE medical? No, taxpayers will be fined and pursued by the IRS…while the corruption in Washington walks.

Obama received 800 million from MoveOn.org.

I’m surprised Obummer didn’t claim the Republican opposition was based on racism, the last desperate cover for liberals.

What a disaster this presidency has been. You people who voted for Obumbler should hang yourselves. I’ll help if you want. Look what you have done to this country? It will never be the same and your kids and their kids are going to suffer because of you.

If we were to limit special interest groups and foreign influence, Obama wouldn’t get half of the 600 million he received during the last election.

Well, if the ‘campaign finance reform’ bill was in any way bi-partisan and not a giant sop to unions and LEFT WING special interests, then maybe someone would care. As it was, THIS bill was a giant dagger aimed at free speech and would have chilled opposition ahead of the mid terms, but you knew that, didn’t you, Mr. President?

Why would ANY legitimate bill curtain corporate speech but protect UNIONS from the same restrictions, hmmm? Cat got your tongue on THAT issue, Bamby?

Oh, and from an unqualified Marxist boob who got qualified largely because he pulled a bait and switch with his pledge to limit himself to public funding limits for his campaign in 08, this is hypocrisy of the highest order. Nothing like raising 600mil from unions, BP, Goldmann Sachs, and fat cat Democrat interests to outspend McCain by a factor of almost ten to one.

Oh, and Bamby? November is coming. Start getting used to legislative failures. America can’t afford the big ideas you’ve already rammed up our posterior.

Poor, poor Bummer! He was unsuccessful at his partisan legislation that favors him and the dems and squelches free speech. His end run around the supreme court failed. Separation of powers, Bummer! Maybe you should reread your oath of office and stop trying to subvert the Constitution!

This is a true victory for the American taxpayer and a defeat for the SEIU, UFT, UAW, AFSCME, ACORN, La Raza, the Sierra Club, NAACP, academia, Goldman Sachs and all the other Democratic special interest groups and the blood sucking tax devouring labor unions.

Obama is a one term failed president and liar period.

The only time Obumbo calls for bipartisanship is when HE is on the loosing end of a battle. Otherwise, it’s “Open up America, we’re shoving this through! “
