Dems launch effort to equate GOP with far right Tea Party candidates

The ideas to abolish large federal agencies such as Education, Energy and EPA come from past quotes by Rand and Angle. Both Republicans have shied away from such rhetoric since winning their primary elections.

“While these positions are so far out of the mainstream that they are easily mocked and dismissed as crazy – this is not a joke – these positions, while seemingly inconceivable, are the things that Republican-Tea Partyists would pursue if they return to power,” the DNC official said.

The DNC’s midterm strategy is being coordinated closely with the Obama White House and run by former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe.
