Teachers unions cash in at expense of food stamp recipients

Democrats struck back at Boehner with an online video from the Democratic National Committee showing teachers from around the country criticizing the Republican House leader for his remarks.

“Why wouldn’t House Republicans want to keep 310,000 teachers, first responders and private sector workers on the job instead of on the unemployment lines?” Democratic House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi said in a statement.

The bill is set to be voted on Tuesday afternoon, and expected to pass largely along partisan lines.
