ALBANY – Maverick GOP gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino Monday morning ripped Democratic opponent Andrew Cuomo for “an arrogant, egotistical attitude.”
Appearing on Fox News Channel, Paladino said he is preparing several ads that will take aim at Cuomo’s “professional incompetence” while federal housing secretary under President Bill Clinton.
Paladino earlier tried to goad Cuomo into a formal debate with a letter that, among other jibes, questioned his rival’s manhood, as Celeste Katz reports on The Daily Politics blog.
“Frankly, I dont think you have the cojones to face me and the other candidates in a open debate,” Paladino wrote, calling Cuomo a “scion of a political dynasty and king-designate,” hiding behind his former governor father’s coat-tails.
