Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle on Friday called President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, her opponent in the race, “delusional.”

“That’s the only word for them,” Angle said in a fundraising pitch to supporters. “Barack Obama thinks his election changed the world and Harry Reid thinks he saved the world from an epic depression.”

Angle seized on a comment Reid made this week and that has been widely ridiculed by conservatives. At a campaign rally Thursday, the Senate leader said: “But for me, we’d be in a world-wide depression.”

Obama is campaigning for Reid, who is locked in a tight race with Angle, on Friday. In her fundraising pitch, the Republican mockingly referred to the Democratic leaders as “saviors.”
