Bristol Palin went ‘from chimp to champ’ this week as she clawed her way back up the leaderboard.
In keeping with the rock week theme, she wowed the audience with an out of character air guitar section during her tango with Mark Ballas.
And in her leg-baring purple slit skirt she succeeded, scoring 23 points, her top mark of the competition.
Although the crowd seemed to love her new-found rock star status, judge Len Goodman was less enthusiastic – and docked the couple a point for breaking away from one another mid-tango.
‘Last week a chimp. Almost a champ!’ he told them. ‘That was ridiculously amazing,’ squealed Carrie Annie.
For the first time contestants had to dance twice in one night, with the second dance seeing them all hit the dancefloor at once.
