Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas and possible White House hopeful in 2012, is trying to put his stamp on this year’s election in Iowa.

Huckabee, who won the state’s caucuses during his first presidential run in 2008, recorded a call for the Citizens United Political Victory Fund in which he urges Iowans to vote three state Supreme Court justices out of office. The group said 250,000 voters will be contacted.

“The last thing this country and especially Iowans need,” Huckabee says, “are activist judges who put their own self interests ahead of the common good. Most Iowans and really a majority of Americans agree that marriage is a sacred vow between 1 man and 1 woman.”

Huckabee, currently a Fox News contributor and radio show host, is believed to be one of several Republicans hoping to take on President Obama in 2012. In 2008, the former Arkansas governor won the Iowa caucuses in part because of his conservative values.
