GAINESVILLE — Florida’s Chas Henry has heard the fuss about the choke sign Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham made at him Saturday. And the Gators punter-turned-kicker thinks it’s “ridiculous.”

Speaking to the media for the first time since video of the SUN Sports broadcast showed Grantham taunting Henry before his game-winning 37-yard field goal, Henry said he doesn’t understand what the fuss is about.

“It’s in the middle of the game. It’s an intense game,” said Henry, who admitted to blowing a kiss in Grantham’s direction after the Bulldogs called timeout. “I think it’s ridiculous that people are trying to say he should have to apologize for it and that he should be fined or anything. He’s a great coach. Look at his record. It’s just an intense game.”

Since the broadcast showed Grantham making a choking gesture toward Henry, columnists, TV and radio pundits have called for Grantham to apologize, be fined or even be fired.
