Bennet: Dems likely to revisit health law

The Senate is likely to revisit the new healthcare measure that became law earlier this year, a member of the chamber’s Health committee said Tuesday.

Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), a member of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, said he thought the majority Democrats would look at making changes to the bill President Obama signed into law in March.

“I think we will,” Bennet said in an interview on NPR. “I think we didn’t do enough the first time around on cost containment — there’s more to be done there, on the Medicare incentive structure.”

    Isn’t it peculiar how when Democrats accuse someone else of something, you find out later that they’re doing what they accuse others of doing? Like when they talk about the evil practice of insurance companies refusing coverage for pre-existing conditions. While reading about Medicare Part C, I found this http://www.medicare.com/medicare-coverage-basics/medicare-part-c.html

    You can generally join if:

    * You live in the service area of the plan you want to join.
    * You have Medicare Part A and Part B coverage.
    * You don’t have End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant)

    You can join Medicare Part C if you don’t have a pre-existing kidney disease. Go figure.

    Stop it! The Dems have already done enough damage to our healthcare.

    Agree with Chuck that “cost containment” is wage/price controls (i.e., fewer doctors) and access to fewer advanced life-saving procedures (as Alan Grayson might say if he were only honest, “the Dems. want you to die early.”) The people who voted for this monstrosity (without reading the bill) are not the individuals we should trust to fix it.
