Conservative leaders threaten critics of Sen. Jim DeMint

ABC News’ Michael Falcone reports:

Prominent conservative leaders are putting critics of Sen. Jim DeMint on notice: Stop blaming the South Carolina Republican for the GOP’s failure to take back the majority in the Senate — or else.

Led by Richard Viguerie, who heads the Web site ConservativeHQ.com, a group of three dozen high-profile DeMint backers, say they will respond to the senator’s detractors “in word and deed.”

“Conservatives will not only challenge and beat more Republican senators in Republican primaries, but conservatives will stop funding and volunteering for the NRSC and the RNC,” Viguerie wrote in a letter addressed to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele. “Instead, conservatives will send their money to, and volunteer for, Senator DeMint’s Senate Conservative Fund and the candidates Senator DeMint supports.”

Dump Steel, Graham, McConnell, Lugar, Snowe, Collins, etc…..only give time and money directly to the candidate of your choice…by-pass the RNC…give them nothing. Contribute nothing….this fight is just beginning.

YES, YES, It’s about time, someone else stated standing up, and defending, the Great American Patriotic Senator, Jim DeMint, and all the rest of the Tea Party Constitutional Conservatives, like Michelle Bachmann, in Congress, Washington DC, and all across America.
Conservatives are about to abandon the GOP, to it’s demise, and form an Alternative Political Party, if they do not start acting like Patriotic Constitutional Conservative Americans, and I mean real soon.!!!!!
This is NO threat, this is a FACT.!!!!!

Hmmm, sorry, it sure sounds like a threat….

I have spent much of the last several days writing all of the Republican Establishment members of the Senate, in an effort to urge them to get on board.

The last thing in the world we need right now is a civil war within the party.

The next worst thing would be for the existing leadership to misunderstand their mandate and continue in the mold of their leadership during the Bush Administration.

We need to drive the message home so that, together, we can move forward our conservative agenda.

Please follow suit…email each of them and let them know how you feel and how you expect them to govern!

I’ve been doing the exact same thing. It’s time to pull together as a unit and get the job done!

  • Momma M

I will not donate to either party. I will only donate to individual candidates based on THEIR platform and their integrity. If I can’t believe in their platform due to a lack of integrity (which as we all know happens often) I simply do not send money.

I will NOT send money to candidates that use me for my vote only to turn around and ROB me of my money with THEIR vote!

The Republican party should wise up and LISTEN for a change, before they find themselves on the receiving end of OUR anger.

oopps, missed a tag… sorry guys.

Dump Mitch McConnell – he does not look out for the American middle class – he does not uphold their values.

    • UncleDon

you’re right….all he looks out for is “getting along” and “getting reelected”
