Michael Moore is aiding and abetting the enemy

America-hating Michael Moore is at it again by helping to bail out WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and making his internet resources available to WikiLeaks. He has even called PFC Bradley Manning, the soldier allegedly behind downloading the classified files, a patriot. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates — both of whom are hardly political hacks — have said Assange puts American troops’ lives at risk as well as those of our allies in the War on Terror. Michael Moore has made a fortune by undermining America in the War on Terrorism and is using that money now to aid and abet the enemy.

Assange is the lowest form of a human being. WikiLeaks is a grave threat to American security, and Julian Assange should pay a legal price. Michael Moore’s view is that since our government prosecuted the Iraq war based on an alleged “lie,” all of America’s secrets should be exposed. There is absolutely no logic in that statement. America has state secrets in order to protect its citizens from foreign and domestic enemies. Although many liberals want a global government, the world is not a utopian society where we can all join hands and sing kumbaya. Terrorists are plotting every day to kill Americans and our allies.

In Moore’s message today on the Huffington Post, he says, “I am publically offering the assistance of my website, my servers, my domain names, and anything else I do to keep WikiLeaks alive and thriving…” If WikiLeaks takes Moore up on his offer of resources, I challenge the Obama administration to intervene. Julian Assange is an enemy of the state and anybody associated with him who helps his operation should be considered an enemy of the state as well. As an American citizen, Michael Moore lives under the umbrella of freedom that is protected everyday by the brave men and women in uniform. It is unfortunate that by his actions today, Michael Moore can very well be putting the lives of American soldiers at risk. America is at war!

The WikiLeaks case has gotten out of control because of the inaction of President Obama and his attorney general Eric Holder. The Obama-Holder Justice Department has fumbled the investigation from the start. Seven months ago the military captured the perpetrator who gave the classified information to Assange, and the Justice Department essentially did nothing to stop further leaks. The Justice Department should have known immediately what they had and the potential damage that would occur. Holder did go after websites that dealt with pirated goods but not WikiLeaks. I hope in the new Congress an investigation will be launched into the debacle of the WikiLeaks investigation.

Julian Assange and Michael Moore have a schizophrenic view of the world. They both think that there is this grand conspiracy and that America is at the center of it. I believe in American exceptionalism and that “shining city on the hill.” Julian Assange and Michael Moore believe America is part of the problem. As this story moves forward I hope that the Obama administration holds everyone who is facilitating WikiLeaks accountable. By his statement today, Michael Moore has conspired with the enemy.
