Moseley Braun gaining on Emanuel in Chicago mayoral race

Rahm Emanuel is in a solid lead in the first public poll for the Chicago mayoral race taken since the field has shrunk to four major contenders: Emanuel, Gery Chico, Carol Moseley Braun and Miguel Del Valle.

The survey, conducted for Chicago Teamsters Joint Council 25 in the upcoming Chicago mayoral race shows former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel far ahead of his rivals–both for the Feb. 22 primary and the April 5 run-off.

Emanuel is the only contender running significant television advertising in the contest, already spending close to $2 million dollars on spots.

Most of those that vote there are in the cemetery so technically they don’t live there, they just rest there.

Carol Mosley-Braun and her husband had ethics issues in the area of taking money from her campaign fund back in the day when she ran for president. I guess EVERYONE from Chicago is totally corrupt, EXCEPT Comrade Obozo of course. end of sarcasm…. However, I will root for her over the Corrupt Ballerina Boy.

  • Callie369

I have never cared for Carol Brown, but this one time I will make an exception. I would like to see her beat Filthy-mouth Rahm big-time!

Is Illinois NEVER to be anything but a corrupt state run by thugs?

    • SargeH

If you’re talking about corruption, you can’t leave out Carol Braun.

  • ladylove

the headline reads Carol is gaining,

but the article states only that Emmanual is way ahead of everyone.

    • designerrant

Sometimes the people at Daily Caller who write the headlines don’t seem to be really reading the articles….

    • Rocketman

      Yeah. That’s pretty sloppy reporting.

Chicago deserves BOTH Braun und RahmbØ.

Let’s STOP to illusion that there will be an actual, real election for chicago mayor.

FACT: the lunatic-left d-crat socialist daley machine has, in effect, already declared rahmbo the winner when they decreed that “yep, in spite of reality, he’s a ‘resident’.” So, regardless of how the voters might actually vote, rahm wins.

  • oldguy5

I don’t even know why this corrupt city is paying for an election. Emanuel has bought all the union bosses and they will make sure he wins.

Chicago will never be anything but what it is – corrupt with black crime rampaging. WHAT IDIOTS LIVE THERE THAT THEY WOULD EVEN CONSIDER EMANUEL AS A MAYOR.

In the or this year of upsets, Braun will take the mayor’s seat by a little more than a hair. It will be close for Chicago politics for sure.
