Talk radio maven Rush Limbaugh is making waves for his Jan. 10 radio broadcast, in which he claimed the Democratic Party, which “seeks to profit out of murder,” openly “wishes for a disaster in order to profit from it.”

Roll Call and CBS News reported Monday that Limbaugh posted an incomplete transcript of the broadcast onto his site, failing to include these two quotes in his write-up.

Upon stating that the left exploited Saturday’s Ariz. shooting to further their political agenda in a manner that was “disguised as compassion and concern for a congresswoman,” Limbaugh argued that “the most important thing” to the Democratic Party is “[revitalizing] their political fortunes because of this unfortunate shooting of a congresswoman in Arizona.”

“[The Democratic Party wants] you to believe that sadness was on the order of the day, and I’m sure it was, but the opportunity! They couldn’t help themselves,” Limbaugh said. “They just couldn’t help themselves.”

In the same broadcast, Limbaugh claimed that it’s “insane” to argue former Alaska gov. Sarah Palin inspired 22-year-old suspect gunman Jared Loughner to carry out Saturday’s Tucson shooting rampage that left six dead, Ariz. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in critical condition, and many wounded.

“[The media’s] first objective and first priority was to try to make an association between this nut and Sarah Palin. What? That’s absolutely… You talk about insane?” Limbaugh said. “This guy doesn’t know Sarah Palin. She doesn’t know him.”

Limbaugh added that the left doesn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that Judge John M. Roll, one Saturday’s victims, was right-wing.

“Nobody talks about [the fact that] a Republican federal judge was killed,” Limbaugh said.
