Likely Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum says he finds it “almost remarkable” that Barack Obama supports abortion rights, despite being black.

“The question is, and this is what Barack Obama didn’t want to answer — is that human life a person under the Constitution? And Barack Obama says no,” Santorum told CNS News’ Terry Jeffrey. “Well if that human life is not a person then I find it almost remarkable for a black man to say, ‘Now we are going to decide who are people and who are not people.’”

The former Pennsylvania Senator is a well-known and outspoken social conservative. He lost his seat to pro-life Democrat Bob Casey in 2006 after making incendiary comments about homosexuals on the Senate floor. As The Daily Caller previously reported, Santorum has all but officially announced a campaign for the presidency.
