London-based City A.M. is reporting that Facebook, in conjunction with Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC, will launch two Facebook-branded smartphones at the Mobile World Conference next month. The Facebook phones will reportedly offer a user interface based on Google’s Android platform.

The Boy Genius Report, citing an anonymous source, claims the phone will be cloud-based, meaning things like contacts, pictures, and data will be stored online instead of the phone itself. The source also claims that the Facebook phones will offer a unique coupon system, in which the user chooses businesses of interest, and the phone then automatically pushes coupons to the user when they are near particular stores. Additionally, there will also be a ticker system in which Facebook alerts, text messages, and e-mails are displayed as they are delivered.

The Mobile World Conference will be held in Barcelona and begins on February 14.
