The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has started airing advertisements for the 2012 election cycle, targeting 19 House Republicans in typically left-leaning districts. The Democrats will need most, if not all, of those seats to reclaim a majority in the House in the next Congress.

The DCCC’s most notable target is Tea Party favorite Allen West, Florida Republican, who won his election in a historically Democratic district.

The others in the DCCC’s crosshairs are Reps. David Rivera of Florida, Nan Hayworth and Ann Marie Buerkle of New York, Charlie Bass of New Hampshire, Joe Walsh and Bob Dold of Illinois, Jon Runyan of New Jersey, David Reichert of Washington, Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan, Robert Hurt of Virginia, Joe Heck of Nevada, Steve Chabot of Ohio, Chip Cravaack of Minnesota, Blake Farenhold of Texas, Sean Duffy of Wisconsin and Lou Barletta, Mike Fitzpatrick and Pat Meehan of Pennsylvania.

The ads will run on radio, online and via e-mail and phone calls. The radio ads are set to run during drive time starting Monday, through the end of the week.
