The fake doctors’ notes are really FAKE fake doctors’ notes, or something

The Associated Press reports:

The University of Wisconsin medical school says it’s investigating reports that doctors from the school handed out medical excuse notes to protesters at the state Capitol this weekend.

Doctors from numerous hospitals set up a station near the Capitol on Saturday to provide notes to explain public employees’ absences from work. One of those doctors was Lou Sanner, who practices family medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Sanner said he had given out hundreds of notes to protesters and many he spoke with seemed to be suffering from stress.

There are multiple eyewitness accounts of doctors doing this, but guess what? Breitbart and his unholy minions documented it, and therefore it’s fake. Crooks & Liars, which has never been more accurately titled, laments:

As Dodd at Outside the Beltway notes, “One understands the impulse to discredit a narrative that harms one’s cause. But if the era of blogging, Twitter, and omnipresent video has proven one thing, it’s that it’s better not to jump the gun. Whatever credibility you have is destroyed when you’re proven wrong.” I guess when you identify so strongly with a team, and that team is caught blatantly cheating, the denial makes you say silly things.

Here’s Breitbart himself getting a note from a doctor:

This, of course, is just further proof that the whole thing is made up. Big Journalism’s Mike Flynn confesses:

I’m coming clean: Breitbart staged the entire union protest in Madison. All of it. The Walker proposal, the union protest and the counter protest. Everything. Let me explain.

He does. Prove it didn’t happen that way, teabagger!

Madison’s own Ann Althouse has been on top of this story from the start. Just click here and scroll down. And Charlie Sykes at WTMJ newsradio in Milwaukee passes along this eyewitness account from the Wisconsin State Capitol:

On Thursday, legislators were advised to return to their offices and lock their doors. Mobs roamed the halls, banging on the glass of the doors, pounding on the walls. No one could move in the halls or enter or leave the building. The glass of the Supreme Court’s entrance was broken. Legislators were genuinely afraid. Our elected representatives were afraid. In our Capitol.

A young female reporter trying to get into the Senate chamber struggled to get through the crowd. She arrived disheveled and upset because she had been roughed up as she tried to get through “Bitch-slapped” the mob told her. A senior senator was spat on. A senator and his female staffer struggled to get into the capitol. He was worried about his staffer because the crowd was grabbing at her and pushing her. University Police were two arms lengths away and did nothing. They, of course, are union.

Read the whole thing. Remember: putting a symbol on a map is evil. Spitting on people and breaking windows is free speech. It all depends on “the greater good.”

In the meantime, the schools there are still closed. I hope this has all been worth it for these teachers, doctors, and everybody else who’s showing the world what the left is all about.
