The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and love is in the air in Hollywood this spring. Although celebrity relationships typically have incredibly short lifespans, stars still try to make their romances blossom under the spotlight.

Reese Witherspoon is the latest star to head down the aisle, but she’s not the only one who has found love this year. From tween royalty Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s budding romance, to Scarlett Johnanson’s unusual new relationship with Sean Penn — take a look at the latest hook-ups, couplings, and weddings that are keeping love alive in the entertainment world.

  • "She's Out of Your League" star Jay Baruchel just got engaged to actress Alison Pill. The actor announced his engagement while receiving a Genie Award in Canada last Thursday. The lovebirds got engaged over the holidays and plan to tie the knot in September 2012.
  • Ryan Phillippe and "Red Riding Hood" star, Amanda Seyfried have been spotted holding hands on vacation together recently, but both notoriously private stars have yet to publicly confirm their apparent romance.  In a recent interview with Elle Magazine, Seyfriend was asked about her rumored relationship with Phillippe to which she coyly replied, “Um, yeah. I've been 'seen' with him.” A potential deal-breaker for the new couple arose a few days ago when Phillippes ex, actress Alexis Knapp announced she was pregnant and named Phillippe as the father. It will be interesting to see how this romantic saga unfolds.
  • Ryan Reynolds filed for divorce from Scarlett Johansson in December, and he’s wasted no time moving on to another blond bombshell. The actor has been spotted canoodling with German model Agnes Fischer in South Africa, where he's filming his latest flick, ‘Safe House.’
  • Actress Scarlett Johansson split from husband Ryan Reynolds just a couple months ago, but she’s already moved on to another Hollywood heavyweight, Sean Penn. The actress, 26, and Sean Penn, 50, were recently spotted by the paparazzi on a romantic getaway to Mexico, and later at an intimate dinner in Los Angeles. Things seem to be heating up for this unusual A-list romance.
  • On November 6 2010, Prince William announced his engagement to long-time love, Kate Middleton. The engagement became an instant media sensation, and elaborate preparations are underway for their highly anticipated wedding. The future queen will walk down the aisle at Westminster Abbey on April 29, and the UK has declared it a national holiday.
  • Taylor Swift and "Glee" star, Chord Overstreet were spotted getting cozy at a hockey game in Los Angeles last month. The country superstar is currently on a worldwide tour for her latest album, but the romance is reportedly still blossoming amidst their busy schedules. Swift’s frequently fallen victim to heartbreak in Hollywood, and while we hope her latest fling lasts, at least we can guarantee she’ll write a hit song about it if it doesn’t.
  • Reese Witherspoon is tying the knot next week, and although she has a history of heartbreak, it looks like she’s finally found ‘the one.’ The actress started dating Hollywood agent Jim Toth early last year, and the two announced their engagement in December. This will be Toth’s first marriage and Witherspoon’s second – she was previously married to Ryan Phillippe for 7 years. After a series of failed relationships with high-profile actors, Witherspoon says she’s happy to finally be with someone outside the limelight. “What I’m finding out is that it’s very comfortable to be with somebody who understands my career, but doesn’t do what I do,” the actress told Glamour Magazine in 2011.
  • Eva Longoria is bouncing back quickly after her shocking divorce from Tony Parker last month. Things are reportedly heating up between the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star and Penelope Cruz’s younger brother, Eduardo. The pair were spotted getting cozy at Eva’s birthday bash last week, and Life & Style reports that the new duo is already planning on moving in together.
  • Disney darling Selena Gomez and popstar Justin Bieber recently started dating, and they’re adorable romance is truly a match made in tween heaven. Both stars denied romance rumors for months, but after being spotted kissing and cuddling in the Caribbean, it became a little difficult to deny their relationship. Gomez and Bieber finally went public with their romance when they arrived together at Vanity Fair's Oscar party last month.
