If I called, say, Michelle Obama the kind of stuff Bill Maher calls Sarah Palin…

…how much overtime would the drones at Media Matters rack up?

Jeff Poor reports on Maher’s latest. (WARNING: Adult language and childish leftism)

According to a March 28 post by Arnold Wayne Jones on The Dallas Voice website, a publication that describes itself as the “premier media source for LGBT Texas,” Maher made a Sunday night appearance at the Winspear Opera House and leveled another attack at the former Alaska governor.

“It’s that fearlessness — he acknowledged that some people would probably be uncomfortable with some of his remarks about religion, not to mention calling Sarah Palin a ‘c*nt’ (‘there’s just no other word for her’) — that makes Maher the most dangerous person in comedy,” Jones wrote.

I actually don’t blame Maher for this. He’s a repulsive piece of garbage and always has been. He’s just doing what he’s always done. No, I blame all his fellow travelers who’ve allowed him to speak for them. He keeps escalating and escalating, and they’re fine with it. Well, congratulations, libs: this guy represents you. He is your voice.

You know what? I’m gonna call it. Bill Maher is the de facto leader of the Democratic Party.

Bill Maher is a cunt. But shorter.

I’m totally fine with this as long as we don’t hear anymore sanctimonious whining about tone.

“Really, it is hard to imagine anything that could be more safe and comfortable.”

Me and my possibly-fake screen-name just thought of an exception.

    • stoopdavydave

      Oh poo!
I meant to post that as a reply to MTM5.. uh.. to that one guy farther down this same page. Oh never mind …

  • Simplemind

In the words of Buzz Lightyear Bill Maher “you are a sad strange little man, and you have my pity. Farewell.”

    1. You’re not a comedian
    2. Michelle Obama is the First Lady
    3. Michelle Obama isn’t a complete idiot, like Palin
    4. Palin is a self-aggrandizing hypocrite quitter.

Please feel free to knock down as many strawmen as you like.

      So, it’s okay to call a woman a c*nt if…

      1. You’re a comedian.
      2. She is not the First Lady.
      3. You believe that someone you agree with is smarter than her.
      4. Blah blah blah Sarah Palin.

      Good to know.

I’m down with that. Let him go call her that in front of her husband and son in the Army. Plus where are all the sophisticates who waste their time either appearing on his show or watching his drivel admonishing his juvenile sexism?

  • Sean M.

Okay, so let’s set some ground rules here…

When, exactly, is it okay to use really nasty pejoratives to describe someone?

Is it okay sometimes, all the time, or only in response to someone else who made a rude remark?

    • stoopdavydave

“When, exactly, is it okay to use really nasty pejoratives to describe someone?”

      1. When I don’t like them. Not when YOU don’t like them, and not when somebody ELSE doesn’t like them, just only me, not liking them, that’s one.
      2. Only when I have a pretty good chance of them never figuring out it was me who said it and me getting my ass kicked for it.

But those are just my own personal rules, and as the de facto head of the Democrite party, Mr. Maher is pretty much exempt from them.

I just looked up Wookie. I would suggest it is a kind comparison. I’m not sure what role race plays, but a Wookie sounds like a much more moral, honest and loyal biped than most Democrats. I’m pretty sure I would pick Chewbacca over Barry any day.

And one has to laugh at the use of the term “fearless” to describe Maher calling a Republican crude names in front of an adoring audience of fellow liberals. Really, it is hard to imagine anything that could be more safe and comfortable.
