A new Gallup poll shows Mike Huckabee leading among Republicans.  This is not new or terribly surprising.  What I did find interesting is there look at what they call “positive intensity scores,” which is essentially whether a candidate can generate enthusiasm among people who know who he or she is.

In this regard, Rep. Michele Bachmann is in second place (trailing Huckabee) and Herman Cain comes in fourth (behind Romney).

What does this mean?  According to the pollsters, “These data suggest that both Bachmann and Cain have the potential to be much bigger factors in the Republican primaries and caucuses than current trial-heat polling would show.”
