The National Enquirer, which hasn’t gotten anything right about the John Edwards story except everything, reports:

The former North Carolina senator and two time Presidential loser has been under federal grand jury investigation since April 2009 for possible campaign law violations related to paying his mistress Rielle Hunter.
Well, these things happen when you hire your mistress to work on your presidential campaign and impregnate her on the campaign trail, and then spend a fortune shuttling her and your secret baby all over the place to hide them from the media. Not that such a thing was even necessary, since the press did everything they could to avoid breaking the story in the first place. Now that his whole sordid mess is no longer a threat to putting a Democrat in the White House, he’s on his own.

It just gets funnier every time I watch it. “I wanna see our party lead on the great moral issues that face our country.” LOL! Although to his credit, his children don’t have to worry about him feeding and clothing them, whether they’re legitimate or not. So okay, maybe he did it with campaign funds. Nobody’s perfect.
