I recently chatted with Nicholas Shaxson, an investigative journalists who recently authored the book, “Treasure Islands: Uncovering the Damage of Offshore Banking and Tax Havens.”

According to Shaxson, tax havens pose a serious threat to global prosperity, whose only hope for redemption is a cooperative international call for transparency.

Shaxson also tells me how musician and activist Bono relocated U2’s publishing business from Ireland to the Netherlands in order to shelter royalties from taxation.
