William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge may abandon England’s gloominess for the sunny weather in the City of Angels, according to the Morton Report.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton reports that the newlyweds will jet off to Tinseltown for two days in early July. This will be the couple’s first trip overseas as a married couple, if the arrangements follow through.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told People magazine on Monday that the department hasn’t been informed of any plans for the royal couple’s upcoming visit, but Morton says it is expected to happen right after the lovebirds tour Canada from June 30 to July 8, which will be their first public appearance since the April 29 royal wedding.

The Palace released a statement on Saturday, the day following the big ceremony, that William and Catherine were in no hurry to begin their honeymoon.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately,” the press release reads. “Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, the Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance.”

William and Catherine, often referred to as Wills and Kate, were spotted strolling hand-in-hand outside Buckingham Palace on the morning after their wedding. Catherine, whose wedding apparel and gowns were the subject of constant media discussion leading up until the Westminster Abbey ceremony, sported wedges and a blue dress on the day following her nuptials.
