A look back: Nancy Pelosi denies advance knowledge of methods that led to Bin Laden’s death

Font Size:

Here she is in May 2009. Take it away, Nancy!

So… They did tell her about waterboarding, but… Um, weapons of mass destruction… The CIA lied because… Er…

Okay, I give up. Even two years later I can’t make heads nor tails of that press conference, except to note that she was about to vibrate right through her pantsuit. The point is, nothing bad is Nancy Pelosi’s fault, and everything good is to her credit.

Pelosi on Monday:

“The death of Osama bin Laden marks the most significant development in our fight against al-Qaida. I salute President Obama, his national security team, Director Panetta, our men and women in the intelligence community and military, and other nations who supported this effort for their leadership in achieving this major accomplishment. It is a testament to the professionalism of our dedicated national security professionals that no American lives were lost in this operation.”

The CIA lies to everybody all the time, plus it’s full of professionals who do a great job of defending America. Nancy Pelosi is utterly consistent in her brazen partisan hackery.

P.S. Compare and contrast.

P.P.S. Once again, for those who are still having trouble: “Anyone who suggests that waterboarding did not produce an enormous amount of valuable intelligence just isn’t facing the truth.” — Donald Rumsfeld
