The Senate’s top-ranking Democrat will not see the photographs of Osama bin Laden’s body when they are released to a select number of high ranking elected officials later this week.

“I don’t want to see it,” Reid said, when asked if he would be shown the image of bin Laden.

The Obama administration last week decided against publicly releasing the photos of bin Laden that were taken after a Navy SEAL team stormed the terrorist leader’s compound and killed him in Pakistan on May 1.

During a press conference last week, Reid said he would not pressure the administration to publicly release the image of bin Laden with a bullet through his head and chest, calling it “morbid.”

A small group of congressional members are expected to view the photographs at CIA headquarters near Washington DC on Wednesday or Thursday, the Associated Press reported.
