Mike Huckabee isn’t ruling out being on the Republican ticket in 2012, according to an Arkansas news site.

He told reporters Wednesday at the Clinton Library in Little Rock that while he’s not running for president, he is not ruling out running for vice president.

“Everything is still open,” Huckabee, a Republican, said in Little Rock. “I haven’t closed doors because I found out long ago that that’s not a smart thing to do. Then you try to figure out how to open them when they come knocking. I’m not looking for anything, I’m content with what I’m doing. That’s what I plan to do.”

Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas who now hosts a weekend show on Fox News, announced last month that he would not make a bid for the White House, despite some polls showing him leading the pack of GOP contenders.

A spokesman for Huckabee didn’t immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
