The tension between former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Minnesota Rep. –  and potential presidential candidate – Michele Bachmann is heating up.

Now representatives from the two camps are taking shots at each other.

The first shot was fired Tuesday by Ed Rollins, who only recently signed on to work for Bachmann’s potential campaign. On Wednesday, Palin’s chief of staff, Michael Glasser, responded.

“Beltway political strategist Ed Rollins has a long, long track record of taking high profile jobs and promptly sticking his foot in his mouth,” said Glasser in a statement to the Minnesota Post.

“To no one’s surprise, he has done it again, while also fueling a contrived narrative about the presidential race by the mainstream media,” Glasser said. “One would expect that his woodshed moment is coming and that a retraction will be issued soon.”

Glasser was responding to a comment Rollins made on Fox News Radio in which he diminished Palin’s experience and political expertise.

(Bachmann campaign manager rips Palin: ‘She has not been serious’

“Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years,” said Rollins. “She got the vice-presidential thing handed to her. She didn’t go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance. She gave up her governorship.”

What just happened to Weiner is the secret weapon that conservatives must unleash on the lying left. We are the nice guys who never go after the dirt on our opponents. Look at the Wapo and the NY Crimes with their “Help us to find dirt on Palin in her 24,000 e-mails that will be released Friday”. This is like the mafia or a corrupt communist dictator. Where is their sense of shame? The left has no bottom when it comes to disgusting tactics or inhuman methods of attacking an opponent. This starts at the top (Obama), and goes all the way to the lowest pawn on their criminal list. We have two ways to play this. One is to do what we have always done which is nothing. Or two fight back with a team of dirt diggers that the world has never seen before. Publish every item on any left wing journalist or TV person. Do the same on all of the members of Congress that have skeletons in their closets and then hope that everyone will have learned a lesson and go back to running on your ideas and principles.

Rollins is just a pawn. You know for a fact Michelle Bachman either composed that statement, or signed off for its release.

  • WordOfDog

Rollins speaks the truth. Is that what all the fuss is about? Neither Bachmann or Palin has a snowball’s chance in hell anyway.

    • truebearing

With all due respect to your assessment, which is none, Rollins expressed his opinion, not truth. Far be it from you to know the difference.

What kind of an idiot spends all of his free time bad mouthing someone he claims is too stupid to do anything right? Let me help you out with a clue: you.

According to you, Palin is stupid and can’t win, yet you spend all kinds of time repeating the same thing, in a fevered attempt to convince everyone she is unelectable. Why? If she really is that stupid, why do we need a one note dolt like yourself to alert us to that “fact”? The entire apparatus of leftist evil is working 24 hours a day on this campaign, yet Palin is tied with Romney in some polls. How stupid does that make you morons, that you can’t combine your efforts, and with nearly total control of the media, to defeat one supposedly stupid woman? If you don’t mind, I’ll provide the correct answer(s)to my question: excruciatingly stupid, imbecilic, retarded, moronic, doltish.

As with everything else, the left is projecting its own stupidity when it trots out dullards like yourself to proclaim Palin stupid.

So, Daily Crawler sensational headline writer: where within the article is it that ‘Palin’s Camp Returns Fire at Bachman’? True, Ed Rollins dissed Palin specifically as a dunce (note to Michelle: Not good, Michelle). But it appears Palin’s camp returned fire on ROLLINS as they should. Hmm, I can’t even find Bachman’s name in the response. Still waiting……….

Not as funny as watching Soro’s point man in Congress choking on his own weiner.

      Thanks for the smile :>)

First Michelle Bachmann votes for the extensions on the unlawful ‘Patriot Act’ which is a total usurper of the 5th Amendment. Bachmann was promoting the study of the U.S. Constitution, but then ditches her oath of office on the ‘Patriot Act.’ Now she enjoins herself with mud-slinger Ed Rollins!

For the individual who called the grassroot Tea Party activists “tea baggers” and “rascist” you are not only way out of line but you’ve insulted the vast majority of individuals who heartily wish to return our nation to abiding and upholding the U.S. Constitution — which happens to be our Supreme Rule of Law.

If we wish to succeed in defeating the Progressive liberal agenda the mud-slinging and name calling has to come to a halt.

    • westtexasmare

I agree with everything you said but one thing and that’s mud slinging. I think we need to dish it to the left/elitist/progressives. They’ve gotten away with slinging it towards us and I am sick of it.

Liberalism is nothing more than a veneer of arrogant sanctimony covering a decayed and rotting substratum of fundamental immorality. quote by Drew Carleton

It is fine if Palin isn’t serious about running in the 2012 Race.

All Republicans need to refrain from promoting tension between the camps.

    Republicans UNITE.

Ed Rollins and Michael Glasser need to PLAY NICE.

Rollins is right when he says Palin isn’t serious about running

Bachmann is done…. I question her intelligence… if the person you have thought long and hard about and hire to run the most important campaign of your political life immediately attacks the person and her followers that you need to win…. think about it.
I am starting to come to agreement with Sheya and Tammy Bruce that this is for real and that Bachmann is going to be the attack dog for Romney while “he lays low until the fall” and attacks Sarah – his only true competitor – with the reward of VP or some substantive Federal position in 2013. That actually makes sense.
Otherwise, Bachmann is an idiot for hiring Rollins. And as they tell us, Bachmann is serious and really really smart… right?
